THE BERKELEY GROUP

Our mission and passion is to empower nonprofits with the knowledge and tools to maximize their social impact in the community.

Our Mission
The Berkeley Group uses innovative ideas, academic training, and passion to enable nonprofit organizations to achieve their missions and create a better world - one nonprofit at a time. Our values include passion - a shared dedication to our client and social change, professionalism - displayed through quality projects with high professional standards, and initiative - taking individual action and collaborating as an organization.
Our Partners
The Berkeley Group's model draws upon many different partners and sponsors. Our amazing network of resources are what allows us to deliver great impact through our work. We also utilize partnerships with faculty advisors, graduate students, practicing industry professionals, and various nonprofit staff and board members. Furthermore, TBG partners with similar organizations from a number of other college campuses.

TBG could not accomplish our mission without support from our sponsors at the Haas School of Business, the Associated Students of the University of California, and our generous donors. If you are interested in making a donation to The Berkeley Group, please visit our donor page here.

Our History
The Berkeley Group, a pro bono social sector consulting organization, was founded in 2003 by four UC Berkeley juniors. They were inspired by Professor Alan Ross's class "The Social, Political, and Ethical Environment of Business," and hoped to provide an opportunity for students to grow professionally and personally, as well as contribute to the growing social sector. Since its founding, The Berkeley Group has assisted over 80 social sector organizations in the San Francisco Bay Area.
Being given the opportunity to work so closely with organizations that have such a significant impact on our community and helping them better achieve their goals is something that is indescribable. I learned so much from my fellow TBGers that I couldn't even begin to quantify, and I could never thank them enough.
